Statistical Conference of the Americas

The eleventh meeting of the Statistical Conference of the Americas, which will be held online, from 23 to 25 November 2021, is being organized by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) and the Government of Colombia, through the Departamento Administrativo Nacional de Estadística (DANE).
At this eleventh meeting, the Statistical Conference of the Americas will discuss two substantive topics: progress and challenges for the modernization of national statistical legislation and the consolidation of national statistical systems; and regional perspectives on the use of new methodologies and data sources for statistical production. The States members will also examine the outcomes of the biennial programme of regional and international activities, 2020–2021, of the Statistical Conference of ECLAC, endorse the establishment of working groups for the period 2022–2023 and elect the new Executive Committee of the Conference for that period.
